Picture Albums: Do you have a few photos that spark a memory you would like to share?
School Days: How did you get to school in the winter? What were the fads and wildest fashions?
Entertainment: What was your favourite place to hang out? What were the craziest things you did for fun?
Major Events: Was there a flood or tornado that impacted you? What about something that was key to changing laws or bylaws?
Names of Roads: Who is it named after and why? Was it your grandmother, or perhaps your neighbour’s farm?
Our goal is to capture at least 1000 stories about what life in Muskoka was like in the past.
The process is simple, and only takes an hour or two of your time.
I will come to you, clip a small microphone onto your shirt, and have a conversation where you tell me your memories of childhood, your teenage years, or early adulthood.
We can do the interview with video, or just audio. The choice is yours.
I will then put it on the podcast, and let you know when it is published.
The whole process takes an hour or two of your time, and leaves a lasting first hand account for future generations to listen to, and have a deeper connection and understanding of our history and how things have changed over time.
Every story is worth telling.
